*Sob* Link to me!

*Sob* Link to me! I'm teetering at number 100 on Technorati's list of the top 100 influential weblogs! The slightest negative breath, and I fall off the list completely! So link to me! Link to me! Link to me! (Or persuade Sifry to expand his list to 120.)

I need to do more research to confirm the suitability of the crisis modality. Number 99 has, if I am reading this correctly, 302 links. You are at 100 with 298 links. The link you provided only gives the top 100, so I haven't yet tracked down number 101, but there is clearly a chance that you have a cushion on the downside. One new link won't move you up, either. Time to form a coalition of the willing!

Well I just linked to DeLong again. Does this help?

What's it worth to ya?

Why are you writing "sonofabitch link to me"? It seems counterproductive.

Seems like you have dropped off the list.

Can't help you there as you are already on my blogroll.

John, on my first reading, I also thought SOB meant sonofabitch. :-)

Brad,

I can be bought... :-)

Send me your reasons why I should expand the list to 120, on the back of fresh new $100 bills, one reason each per bill. :-) :-)

Dave

Keep up the great work, I have a feeling you'll stay on the top 100 without any help from me...

Too little, too late ... you're gone.

Don't feel too bad. Ars Technica isn't on the list, either, and I can guarantee you that we have more traffic than anyone on there except for Slashdot, Fark, and possibly one or two others. I'm not sure how they rank that list, but it doesn't appear to mean too much.

Of course, there was some debate as to whether or not Ars counts as a blog. I made a post about this a month or so ago, and Dave Winer informs me that we are indeed a blog. In fact, we're now linked up on the Harvard blogs list, so I guess it's official.

Anyone who hasn't visited http://arstechnica.com/ should do so as soon as possible. It's absolutely wonderful.

Brad,

Thanks!

No sympathy, dude. You're #39 at http://truthlaidbear.com/ecosystem.php.

Meanwhile Seeing the Forest (http://seetheforest.blogspot.com/), which links to you, is EXACTLY at 100 there, seriously teetering itself and YOU don't link to IT. So no sympathy here, dude.

Well, I would, but I've only had 40 or so hits on my blog since starting in Dec., so that probably wouldn't have much effect ...
