I wonder if here, we are not looking at the man who will provide the justification for dealing with the national debt by inflating the dollar? Bernanke might not, himself, support such a thing, though he might be pressed into doing so as David Stockman was in the Reagan administration, but his arguments might provide the economic fig-leaf for a policy of high inflation.
