Via Gallowglass, a definitely, definitely non-standard possible explanation for why George W. Bush attacked Iraq: "It may be argued that the Bush administration and the Hussein Regime are both in a race against time to gain access and control of the Stargate in the ruins of Uruk or some other location in Iraq, before the prophesied return of the Anunnaki."

I hadn't thought of that. It rings true.

Is Hussein Owner of Crashed UFO?
An UFO-related incident that occurred four years ago poses a troubling question whether any kind of cooperation is possible between Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and extraterrestrials,¦ UFOlogist Joseph Trainor declared in his review UFO Roundup (issue 51 of December 17, 2002). ?On December 16, 1998, during Operation Desert Fox against Iraq, a video clip aired on CNN showed a UFO hovering over Baghdad; it moved away to avoid a stream of tracer anti-aircraft fire. At that time we all thought it was another UFO sighting, although captured on videotape. But now, ufologists think it was much more than a mere incident.

I guess we now know what happened to those 33 priceless artifacts that disappeared Iraq’s national museum. Cuneiform Tablets of Mass Destruction?

The only thing worse than a conspiracy nut is a conspiracy nut with academic credentials. Paranoid rantings wrapped up in journal-worthy prose -- it's like falling through the looking glass and ending up waiting in line at the Social Security Administration.

No, Bush has telepathic contact with the Anunnaki.
Posted by: Old European on June 28, 2003 07:39 AMUnlikely. Reagan believed in astrology but young Bush believes in Jesus, Iraqi WMD and supply side economics - at least he says he does.
Posted by: CMike on June 29, 2003 12:51 AMNo, he just erroneous believes that his ET contact person is god. (The same mistake was made by the Sumerians.) Bush knows that we were created by these Anunnaki, therefore the evolution theory is completely irrelevant.
From the view of the Anunnaki Bush is the optimal leader. Remember: After their prophesied return they want slaves. Social security and similar BS is obviously irrelevant. Supply side economics will generate their preferred outcome.
