Yesterday the Order of the Shrill announced the recruitment of yet another Greater Shoggoth: Amit Yoran, who had been the Bush administration's cybersecurity chief, resigned with one day's notice. He had been driven into shrill unholy madness by the Bush administration's all-hat no-cattle approach to cybersecurity issues.
Posted by DeLong at October 2, 2004 02:54 PM | TrackBackI'm Sorry, Exactly *Who* Joined the Order?: We're expecting Bush to immediately launch a barnstorming tour of Russia with stump speeches [condemning] pervasive and secret government surveillance, indefinite incarceration without charges, secret courts, sentences without appeal, torture, and political intimidation...
Oregon Republicans Wish for a Republican President: We've been waiting for you. Day by day it gets harder to ignore that whatever President Bush is, he's not a member of the old-school Republican party. Of course, mentioning that in public will get you kicked out of the GOP, but you can look forward to a new membership in the Order of the Shrill...
A Note On Clerical Errors In The Processing Department: Some thoughtful readers have pointed out that it should not have been possible for George W. Bush to have joined the Order that is "limited to those who were once sane, fair, and balanced, but who have been driven into shrill unholy madness by the mendacity, malevolence, incompetence, or simple disconnection from reality of the George W. Bush administration."...

I will cry if he wins. But privately.
Actually, I expect he will kiss everybody off by saying he gets to go home to Texas and out of that evil city on the Potomac.
The ultimate public servant.
Posted by: John Thullen at October 2, 2004 05:08 PMThen we get Jeb Bush in 2012, who won't even fake being a compassionate conservative.
He'll run as the corrupt conservative.
It'll be a close race because the estimable American people have become needy for ruthlessness.
Posted by: John Thullen at October 2, 2004 05:12 PMNah, the American people will have had enough of Bushes. Until that is some 30-40 years hence when, having come to Jeebus and reformed her hard-partying ways a mere decade prior, Jenna or Not-Jenna will run and become America's first woman president. Mark my words. You heard it here first.
