For $15.00 per month on top of my Sprint bill, I can use my "vision" phone as a 128K modem for my laptop. Unlimited, flat rate data at 128K. (Though bandwidth is shared with other such cell phone users.) (The treo's browser is nice, but slow. The treo as pda, phone, + modem, + usb sync/charge cable is absolutely killer.)
I had been paying $150 per year for flat rate wifi to Surfandsip (a very nice service.)
Wifi is dead. (Almost.)
