Signs of the Apocalypse II
Our fancy new German-made dryer has just refused to operate: it has announced that it will not start drying until its lint screen is cleaned.

If it's anything like the appliances actually sold in Germany, you'll need to take a two-year course in order to obtain the necessary certifications to clean the filter and reset the sensor.
Oh, and if you have the matching washing machine, avoid the "Kochwasche" cycle, unless you have a sudden need for doll clothes.

Machines that get cheeky can be disciplined. Hit it on the nose with a rolled up newspaper. Make it the Sunday NYT if you want to be really vicious.

It reported that it cannot do its job properly and you consider that a sign of the Apocalypse? Just imagine if our TIA-affected president were equipped with such functionality.
