Back! I Say. Back You! Back!
Ah. That explains it. Sometime in the past three weeks my Eudora spam filter has decided that *every* email coming from an aol.com address is spam. That is not true. It is just most emails coming from an aol.com address that are spam.
I need to retrain the spam filter. Let me get out the whip and the chair...

Remind me never to get to know sampo...:(
Whitelisting is good for spam filters, and also challenge-response is good.
But you get so much spam because your address is on your webpage, which is really popular.

Be happy to oblige you.

I used Eudora for 7 years before switching to Mail.app.
I'm happy I switched.
Mail.app is reliable, does about 95% of what I could do with Eudora, and is much more elegant and pleasant to use.
And the spam filter is much better.
With Tiger coming, you will VERY much want the Spotlight integration of Mail.app.

"I need to retrain the spam filter."
You mistyped "I need to retrain the AOLers."

While you're at it, why not try Thunderbird? Or GMail?

Bush is my shepherd; I dwell in want.
He maketh logs to be cut down in national forests.
He leadeth trucks into the still wilderness.
He restoreth my fears.
He leadeth me in the paths of international disgrace
for his ego's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of pollution and
I will find no exit, for thou art in office.
Thy tax cuts for the rich and thy media control, they
Thou preparest an agenda of deception in the presence
of thy religion.
Thou anointest my head with foreign oil.
My health insurance runneth out.
Surely megalomania and false patriotism shall follow
me all the days of thy
And my jobless child shall dwell in my basement

Very unmac of me to say, but I still love Eudora. But, yes, they must work on the Spam filter and churn out an upgrade soon.
But, Eudora does some things Mail.app can not, like making a named URL, and that is very important for me.
Just, since it is Friday, and nice to comment on something that isn't making my heart weep....

But that is an excellent first, and even second, approximation.
In my experience, a filter that treated EVERY incoming message as SPAM would be within 0.1% of perfection ... ;-)
I don't even bother with the filters, just scan through picking out the 1 or 2 real mails and toss the entire inbox (select all ...)
