Glad you contrasted economic and statistical significance. We really need a better word phrase than "statistical significance" to describe un-noisiness.

Question 2 is good too. It's really important at this early point to pound home the fact that most regressions don't really explain much. Find a regression that actually explains something, and it's a wonderful paper topic.
