So Optimistic I Think the Glass Is Half-Full--Even When There's No Glass at All!

The tagline of Patrick and Teresa Nielsen Hayden's website--"Work like you were living in the early days of a better nation."--has always struck me as somewhat awry.

We are living in the early days of a better nation.
