Dear Family Members,

I'd like to let you know that the next proposal deadline for NSF is January 15, 2003. Proposals are submitted electronically now, through Fastlane (www.fastlane.nsf.gov). PIs are required to complete the following sections -- a 1 page project summary, a 15 page project description (pagination required), references, and a 2 page cv, as well as a form for current and pending support. You may either choose to work on and upload these sections of the proposal yourself, or e-mail the sections to me or to Sue Colligan (colligan@nber.org), and we will assemble the proposal in Fastlane for you. We can work with you and put together a budget, and complete the other forms. There is no dollar limit on NSF proposals, but summer support is limited to the lower of $26,000, or 2 months, per person. Please let me or Sue know if you have any other questions.
