Uh-oh. It looks as though we have a corrupted database. I'm going to move new posts over to a new Movable Type installation while I figure out what to do...

Posted by: Paul on February 11, 2003 02:51 PMHi Brad,
Can't help with this problem but may be able ro help with another.
Ubiquitous wireless technology is shipping in this summer that will effectly increase user speeds by 1,000x to 55Mb from 46K while reducing the costs for such infrastructure say at city center example by 99%.
In other words broadcast quality and damn near free. 2 year roll out possibly.
Since communications has a far greater inpact on our personal and professional lives than computing** does, do you think you might want to consider a more dynamic vew of employment and productivity, Brad, in the medium term?
I don't mean to sound flippant.
We're talking major breakthrough time. And I think I remember your posts on Intel. They will be shipping their radio-enabled microprocessors on Mar 12.
It's all coming together. Just don't tell Paul Krugman;-)
Vbr,
Eric

"President Bush now has got his act together. That's all that matters. He is brilliantly pushing Saddam into the corner--and I expect that the war can still be avoided. The Iraqi dictator will agree to move to a deserted island."
Just a couple of quotes from David Thompson in February:
"President Bush now has got his act together. That's all that matters. He is brilliantly pushing Saddam into the corner--and I expect that the war can still be avoided. The Iraqi dictator will agree to move to a deserted island."
"The Germans and French leaders are merely childishly silly human beings. They should be treated with polite contempt. These two sleaze bag nations are probably worried about the incriminating evidence that we will find in Iraq."
Dan, I know not much has been made of it, but I do remember hearing about the Russians selling jamming devices to Iraq.
